Bill Stott 12/23/07

Uh-oh. Things are going as I feared: only Kosti and I are playing the game. He says he couldn't log in to make the post I made for him below. If you can't log in, email me (wstott@mail.utexas.edu or wstott58@gmail.com) and I'll walk you through it or post your stuff for you. Meantime, here's Stephen Sondheim to remind us what's special in our relation.

Hey, old friend
What d’ya say, old friend?
Are you okay, old friend?
Are we or are we unique?

Time goes by
Everything else keeps on changing
You and I, we can
Continue next year.

Most friends fade
Or they don’t make the grade
New friends are quickly made
And in a pinch, sure, they’ll do.

But us, old friend,
What’s to discuss, old friend?
Here’s to us. Who’s like us?
Damn few.
